small note + cute can kill collaboration!!

Hey guys. ミ★

I know I was supposed to make the second part of my Sakura-Con/6%DOKIDOKI post, but my camera has been a bit wonky so it has been delayed for a while. u__u

Anyways, I have exciting news!
As some of you might have heard, I am doing a collab with Cute Can Kill, a pastel-kei accessory shop based in Italy! Well, the items are out for purchase~

Aren't they lovely! Lila did such a marvelous job bringing my designs to life~
There are 2 other colorways I designed available as well.

Here's CCK's webshop and Facebook page!!
Hope you enjoy, and possibly look forward to more collaborations also with others soon!

6%DOKIDOKI @ Sakura-Con 2011 + other cute things!! (part 1)

Hello everyone! :D
As you might of heard, I was at Sakura-Con 2011 (friday only... ; A;) and I was able to visit 6%DOKIDOKI's pop-up shop~
What confused me a little was that it was mentioned that their pop-up shop would be at the "guest booth" so I thought they had meant the panel itself and NOT the Dealer's Hall which is where we ended up finding them...along with a sign that said that they'd be open around 3 pm or so (the Dealer's Hall opened at 12 pm) so we decided to look around at the other booths and grab a bite to eat, etc.

Here's the lovely Sugar Clay Cafe!
I didn't end up buying anything from them, I had forgotten. ; A;
They were very nice, and one of them was wearing the cutest dress that perfectly matched the shop's theme! How cute is that?

I had also met many other cool folks at the convention, complimented cosplays and outfits....though some people blew me off. I'm hoping they didn't hear me or something...I can be rather shy/quiet around strangers, so.... ; u;

And FINALLY, we decided to wait around near the 6%DOKIDOKI pop-up shop a few minutes early, and I certainly don't regret it! There was already a huge line forming once they had opened! Seeing Sebastian Masuda, Yuka and Vani in person coming up to the stand was really awesome.

Aren't Yuka and Vani just...adorable? * u*
Of course, they were much shorter than me in person, but they were so darn cute!
I really hope they come to Seattle again during their next tour...

Augh, I just wanted to buy everything. ; A;
Next time they come back to Seattle and have their pop-up shop, I'll be ready! * n*
And I am determined to be in the fashion show next time, as well.

You can find 6%DOKIDOKI's cute clothes and accessories online at 6%DOKIDOKI's Official WebsiteMaruione, and Electric Alice!

I will add more photos, as well as what I got at the 6%DOKIDOKI pop-up shop and all of my other Sakura-Con goodies in the next post.
See you then!

super excited!

So apparently my drawings might be getting popular? * o*
I think I am okay with this....
So long as no one steals and uses my art without my permission. D<

Anyways, I've been getting a few offers recently to collaborate on making my designs into clothes and accessories and other fun stuff! * 3*
Though I feel that before that happens I need to still do some improving. D:
And others have asked me if I'm going to be making shirts with some designs, and I'd really love to do so soon.

Thank you very much, to all who have supported my art and would like to see more! :3
You guys are the best!

Four reasons why I love Fairy-kei the best!

(This was taken from my tumblr. Thought it would be a nice idea to post it here as well.)

- The style is quite versatile. You can tone down the pastels or wear nothing but pastels! You can also wear other cute colors with it like black/white, hot pink and other neon colors, and it can still look good.
- There isn’t some bullshit strict set of “rules” that Fairy girls must follow. I think this is mostly because the style is quite general. The only “rule” I can think of isn’t even a rule, but rather what determines the style itself - pastel colors.
- The style is pretty affordable. Don’t have cash to splurge on Spank! or Nile Perch? You can still find super cute things at the mall or in secondhand/thrift shops! If you look around it is quite easy to build a Fairy wardrobe.
- The Fairy-kei community is very friendly. I’ve never seen any drama over Fairy style as of yet (though it might be because the style just isn’t as popular, thus less people, thus less of an amount of “bad eggs”). I am thankful for this.

Feel free to comment on why you like Fairy-kei, or if you agree or not! :3

Some was done on SAI and some in MSPaint.

★ミ tips for fairy-kei beginners! ★ミ

(This can also apply to popkei/spank! beginners as well!)

Most of these things are what I learned as a beginner, and I hope they help all of you cuties out there who are just getting into the fashion, or might be having trouble and looking for a few pointers.

★ミ Thrift and secondhand shopping is really great for those who don't feel like spending big on brands like Nile Perch or ManiaQ. Almost every time I've been to the local thrift store I have found at LEAST one thing that was pastel, 80's and/or cute. Online secondhand shopping like eBay and through LJ can be pretty cheap as well.

★ミ Start out slow! As you build up your wardrobe, don't be in too much a hurry to wear every pastel item you can. Ease into it and have fun mix-n-matching your coords until you find your style.

★ミ Don't be afraid to browse your typical mall retailers like Claire's and Forever21 for cute fairy-kei-able finds!  You might be surprised what you'll find.

If I think of more tips, I shall edit this post later on.
 Feel free to comment on what your favorite thing about fairy-kei or spank! style is, and if you have any other tips I could add to this post, feel free to share them as well!

welcome! ( ●ˋ ◡ ˊ● )

Welcome to my blog! :D
Since I am not feeling all that creative, I'll just use this first post as a little introduction.

My real name is Seana. I am eighteen years old, currently residing in the United States. I love spooky and sweet things alike. As long as its cute I'll probably love it! I'd like to say I have good taste in what's cute, but that's coming from me so I'm not sure if that counts~

I really love SPANK!, fairy kei, 80's, 6%DOKIDOKI, decora, gyaru, and some ott sweet lolita. Of course pastels aren't the only thing I love, I just love them the most. Neons come in a close second, and black&white go with anything. :3 I'm really picky with color coordinating, its something I need to work on (being less picky about). > A<

I'm gonna finish rambling now. I'm still trying to get used to this whole thing.
Anyways, see you guys in the next post!
